Wine Classes

Adrian and Sheila Morley have been hosting Wine Appreciation classes for the past twenty years, both on a private basis and under the auspices of Surrey County Council Adult Education.

Our emphasis has always been on educating the consumer to facilitate and improve their purchasing power.

In order to maintain the informality, our classes are restricted to 16 people and take place at our home in Sanderstead, Surrey. We are within a five minute walk of two Main Line Stations with a frequent service to London Bridge and Victoria, approx. 20/30 minutes journey time.

Each evening will feature either an area or grape variety with a tasting of six relevant wines, both new and old world. Students will have the use of six French tasting glasses, together with tasting notes, mineral water and high bake biscuits (as palate cleansers).

The courses are run on Friday evenings and you may select which evenings you wish to attend. The next course starts on Friday 10th February 2006, and features an introduction evening and 9 individual classes on Port, Eastern Europe, Loire, Portugal, Classic Chianti, Chablis, California, Champagne and Rioja.
